Campaign Events
PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE LAUNCH PRESENTATION
The 40 Days of Purpose Campaign begins with a 2-hour Purpose Driven Life
video presentation by Rick Warren. In this presentation, Rick will cast a vision for living a
life built on the five purposes. This seminar will give you the motivational launch-point to
begin your own Campaign. Yes! You will be provided with the videotape in your church
resource kit. The more members who participate in this event, the more successful your
Campaign will be!
SMALL GROUP CONNECTION & HOST HOME STRATEGY
You will receive training on two different methods for launching new small groups. A
Connection is a centralized strategy which helps you start groups by gathering unconnected
people together. Host Homes is a de-centralized strategy that allows you to form groups
without bringing people together for a specific event. Both have been successful at
Saddleback, so whichever route you choose (or both!), you will experience the power of
Christian community by connecting people into meaningful relationships.
MINISTRY FAIR
Another catalytic event during the 40 Days of Purpose Campaign is the Ministry Fair.
Tied with the purpose of "You Were Shaped for Serving God," this event showcases
your church ministries and acts to get people plugged into serving. See God enlarge your
territory by mobilizing people to use their gifts and talents in ministry.
MISSIONS FAIR
The Missions Fair is an event that takes place in conjunction with the theme, "You
Were Made For a Mission." During this fair, your church can feature outreach ministries
and short-term mission opportunities and invite people to participate. This is a great way to
highlightBlue the needs in your community and beyond, and give individuals and small groups ideas
as to how they can use their skills and gifts to take the message of Jesus to the world.
CELEBRATION SUNDAY
This is the grand finale of your 40 days and will be an incredibly joyful time of testimonies
of what has happened in lives, groups, and marriages during the Campaign. We will coach you
in ways to use the Campaign as a launching point for community outreach efforts. We'll share
with you a few things that we've learned about throwing a party and then we'll celebrate
together with what God has done in your church and in churches around the world!
